These Terms and Conditions govern your use of wp1911.com and the Western Province Member and Event Updates text messaging program offered by the Western Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. ("Western Province," "we," "us," or "our"). The website provides Province news, leadership resources, membership information, event information, and access to related forms and services.

1 Website terms and separate SMS consent

By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website. Accepting website terms, becoming a member, submitting a phone number, or registering for an event does not enroll you in text messages. SMS enrollment requires your separate, affirmative consent.

2 SMS program terms

Program name and description

The Western Province Member and Event Updates program is operated by the Western Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.. Subscribers may receive recurring informational SMS messages about membership administration, meetings, event registration confirmations, event reminders, schedule or venue changes, and support related to their requests. Messages may be sent using automated technology. We send only the types of messages covered by your consent. Event advertising, promotional offers, and fundraising appeals require separate consent that specifically covers those messages.

How to subscribe

On a form that offers SMS enrollment, enter your mobile number and affirmatively select the separate SMS consent option before submitting the form. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, membership, event registration, or participation in a Province program. You may decline SMS and still complete an unrelated request or registration. Providing a telephone number for administrative contact does not, by itself, authorize recurring texts.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies. Messages recur as needed based on your membership activity, event registrations, and requests. Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless provider may charge for sending or receiving messages under your plan. Contact your wireless provider with questions about those charges.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. You may also request cancellation by emailing it.services@kapsi-western.org. After you opt out, we may send one final text confirming your cancellation. No further program texts will be sent unless you provide new consent. We also honor other clear requests to stop messages. Opting out of texts does not cancel your membership or event registration.

Getting help

Reply HELP for help, or email it.services@kapsi-western.org. Please include enough information to identify your request. Do not send passwords, payment card details, or sensitive personal information in a text message.

Eligibility and telephone numbers

This SMS program is for subscribers who are at least 18 years old and are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number they provide. Parents and guardians may subscribe using their own numbers to receive information about youth programs. Tell us if your number changes or is reassigned. Consent applies to this Western Province program and cannot be transferred to another sender.

Delivery and carrier responsibility

Delivery depends on your wireless provider and network availability. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Do not rely on this SMS program for emergency communications.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle website information, mobile numbers, messaging consent, and communication preferences. Mobile information and SMS consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

3 Appropriate website use

Provide accurate information when submitting requests or registrations. Use the website lawfully and respect the rights of others. Do not impersonate another person, submit another person's number without authorization, send abusive content, introduce malicious software, interfere with website security, or attempt to access restricted information without permission.

4 Events membership and payments

Program eligibility, membership requirements, event fees, payment conditions, cancellation rules, and refund terms disclosed for a particular event or program apply to that transaction, subject to applicable law. Event times, venues, and schedules may change; consult the relevant event page or organizer for current information. Membership decisions and benefits remain subject to the applicable fraternity and Province rules.

5 Content and intellectual property

Website content, fraternity names, logos, photographs, and other materials are protected by rights belonging to the fraternity, the Western Province, or their respective owners. You may view and use website information for lawful personal purposes. Commercial use, reproduction, or use of fraternity branding requires appropriate authorization from the rights holder.

6 External services

The website may link to or embed registration forms, ticketing services, payment services, calendars, and other external resources. Independent providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Review those notices before using their services or submitting information. Linking to a service does not make its operator the sender of our SMS program.

7 Website availability and legal protections

We work to keep website information useful and current, but the website may contain errors or experience interruptions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted access or error-free content. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, or excuses us from honoring messaging consent and opt-out requests.

8 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law. An update to these Terms does not automatically authorize new categories of SMS messages; we obtain additional consent when required before sending them.
